Best Fit

Current students pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Criminology, or Social Ecology who are required to complete an internship for capstone or field study requirements.

Students selected for the position will be assigned to one or more units within the department.

Possible Units Include:

  • Crime Prevention
  • Emergency Management
  • Crime Analysis
  • Training and Recruiting
  • Business Desk
  • Animal Services
  • Traffic
  • Records
  • Vehicle Equipment Services
  • Technology and Innovation
  • Court Liaison 

Time Commitment
Approximately 8 hours per week. Students will be scheduled during regular business hours Monday-Friday for the duration of one quarter or semester.

The Process

Applicants will need to complete an oral interview, livescan, and meet for a background interview prior to being offered placement for an internship. These steps will take approximately 3 weeks and will occur well before your field study placement deadline.
